Dane Dye Dash - Award-Winning DECA Project

The Dane Dye Dash is a vibrant and impactful fundraising event designed and executed as part of a DECA competition. Created in collaboration with my two partners, this project allowed us to develop real-world skills in marketing, event planning, and sales strategy, leading us to win 1st place in the state of Georgia.

This project centered around organizing a color fun run that not only brought the community together but also raised funds for charity and our school’s DECA chapter. Through strategic sponsorships, targeted promotions, and a well-planned event structure, we successfully secured funding, increased student engagement, and contributed to local causes. Our marketing efforts included social media campaigns, sponsorship outreach, and ticket sales strategies, all of which we presented to a panel of judges in a high-stakes pitch.

Winning this competition was a testament to our ability to create a successful and sustainable event, blending business acumen with community impact. The Dane Dye Dash will now continue as an annual event, leaving a lasting legacy at our school.
